What is Coaching?
Divorce and/or Life Coaching is an equal partnership between the coach and client to help clients consciously create their lives the way they want them. I help my clients clarify what they want and create an action plan to achieve it. I also assist them to identify their strengths and gifts as well as their limiting beliefs, blind spots and self-limiting patterns. I help clients identify the inner and outer choices they are making and evaluate whether those choices are in line with their heart-felt dreams. I listen deeply, ask good questions and tell my clients the microscopic truth—all without judgment. I see my clients as having all of the inner resources they need to achieve whatever they can imagine.
What is an Intuitive Coach?
As an Intuitive Life Coach I am not only listening to the words spoken by my clients, the content level, I’m also listening deeply below the surface at the level of meanings. I tune in to my intuition and listen from that place fully and completely and in the present moment. From this holistic listening at every level to the client, I often get a “knowing” about hidden reasons that my client is blocked or patterns of which my client might be unaware. I work as team with my client to go beneath the surface to get to the heart of what’s really happening. I bring these “knowings” forward and check in with my client to see if they trigger a shift or an insight—very often they do, occasionally they don’t.
How do I know that coaching will make a difference?
A recent survey by the International Coach Federation Found that: • 98.5% of coaching clients felt the investment in coaching was well worth the money. • Most clients use a coach as a sounding board and motivator
• The common outcomes
of coaching are greater self-awareness, better goal setting, a more
balanced life, • Almost one-third of clients indicate they have more fun since hiring a coach.
What if I'm not too clear about my goal?
No problem. You do not need to be completely clear about what you want and you don't need to have any idea of how you'll get it. Much of the value of coaching comes from the clarity coaching provides.
How long does someone work with a coach?
I usually recommend working with a coach for a minimum of three to six months to ensure you get maximum value and long-lasting impact. However, some people with specific short-term objectives may achieve their goals within a few sessions, while others may take longer than six months.
Is coaching the same as counseling?
No. Counseling/therapy tends to look backwards and help you understand why you are the way you are. Coaching uses different approaches and helps you move your life forward. An active process with a practical focus, coaching can help bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. The therapist's traditional role has him/her supporting their client's mental health. The coach assumes the client is healthy, whole and able to live their life successfully.
How is Coaching Different from Consulting?
Consultants are recognized experts in their specialized areas, who either sell their expert advice or perform their expert actions (or both) to complete a task on behalf of their clients. With consulting, the client has little control over the results. Consultants must maintain their superior (expert) position.Coaches are equal partners who assist you to focus your actions to achieve your goals. You have total control over the results you achieve through coaching. |
